The project is 51% done as of September 2014 with the north end of the project having bottom mat of asphalt down and stripped. The remaining items to be complete include the construction of the roundabout at 70; paving the rest of the new aligned road; installation of cattle guards and the installation of wingwalls and headwalls to the current precast box culvert already in place. Landscaping and all aesthetics will occur at the end of the construction period as a final touch before opening.

The project constructs 2.3 miles of new roadway alignment extending County Road 19 north of County Road 70 to the intersection of County Roads 21 and 72 in Sections 4 & 9, T10N, R69W. The work includes the construction of a roundabout at CR 70, construction of concrete box culverts for a ranch/cattle underpass, a ditch crossing and the replacement of a culvert pipe at Park Creek. The total area of disturbance and construction are approximately 30 acres.  The project consisted of three rock blasts in order to create new alignment for the road as well as a cast in place 10’x20′ box culvert.
