AVI provided professional civil design services to David Ohde & Associates for a $2 million dollar historic placemaking project in downtown Cheyenne. It has been a long time vision of the City of Cheyenne, local downtown businesses, the Downtown Development Authority, and others to revitalize and attract interest in the downtown area. AVI completed site utilities, site drainage, and site geometrics. AVI also served as Resident Construction Engineer throughout construction of the project. The project has received multiple accolades from groups like the American Concrete Pavement Association, Colorado/Wyoming Chapter, Award for Excellence, 1st Place Municipal Streets and Intersections Less Than 30,000 SY, 2004; Wyoming Engineering Society Honorable Mention Designation for the President’s Project of the Year Award, 2004.

They were particularly good working with the contractors. The skillset of the group was particularly strong with civil engineering and road/drainage designs, but not quite as strong in natural channel design principles. – Luke Schultz – Coal Creek Sediment Reduction and Bank Stabilization
