Construction Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The construction manager representative oversees construction and design of buildings and facilities, making sure that the clients’ interests are considered throughout the process. The construction manager must provide professional services in implementing, coordinating, and overseeing in the preparation of funding requests, project budgets, design, bid documents, and construction of a project.

Civil Designer

This position is responsible for assisting in the design and the development of construction drawings. Assists Engineering staff in developing base plans, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, ground models, and other civil design/drawings. This position works closely with in-house engineers.

SURVEYOR/PARTY CHIEF

Surveyor/Crew Chief will provide professional site surveying services. Communicate project information to AVI p.c. design team for preparation of contract documents to facilitate client projects.

EXPERIENCE IN; boundary and topographic surveys, platting requirements, construction layout and collecting as-constructed data, establishing, submitting corner records, and record of surveys.

Ability to analyze data, to exercise independent judgment, coordinate crews, and directing CAD technicians, prepare correspondence and reports; establish and maintain effective work relations with colleagues, representatives of public and private organizations, and general public. LS and/or LSIT candidates for this position should have 3 to 5 years of experience as a survey crew chief. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a discipline related to construction, and site surveying is preferred. Familiarity with Trimble GPS equipment and software a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Civil Engineer/E.I.T.

This position is responsible for work on land development projects including site design, drainage, utilities and roads. Land development projects will include subdivisions and commercial site engineering, includes working on due diligence reports, rezone petitions, concept plans, design development, construction plans, permitting, and construction administration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities, such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, water and sewage systems, and waste disposal units.

ESSENTIAL:

Civil Engineer candidate must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) with clients and permitting agencies. Candidate must be able to adhere to the codes of differing permitting agencies.

The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD in design of residential, commercial and industrial projects of all sizes from field to finish.
